For manufacturing
that no longer bypasses the system.

Deep bills of materials, assemblies, Kanban replenishment. In most warehouses, material flow in manufacturing stays in workers' heads instead of in the system. Waretracks makes it visible.

In many warehouses, manufacturing runs under the radar: which component is taken for which order, whether a part is in stock or needs ordering, how an assembly fits together. That knowledge sits with individual workers, not in the system.

Waretracks makes every stock movement within manufacturing visible in real time, from staging and consumption to booking in the finished product. Shouted instructions become a controllable process.

What this means in operations

+1

Deep bills of materials, right in the system

Assemblies and components are stored in the system. When the finished product is booked in, the parts used are deducted automatically.
+1

Kanban supply instead of shouting

When stock in a production zone drops below the minimum, Waretracks creates the replenishment automatically, without anyone having to ask.
+1

100% transparency across the material flow

Staging, consumption and booking are traceable at any time, not only after asking the workers.

Features for
manufacturing companies

Multi-level BOM production

Multi-level bills of materials including assemblies stored in the system, not maintained by word of mouth.

Every bill of materials can map several production stages, from raw material to finished assembly. When the finished product is booked in, the components used are deducted from stock automatically, without anyone going through the bill of materials manually.

Assemblies as separate stock

Intermediate products are managed as separate assemblies, with their own stock and production stage.

Semi-finished parts aren't a blind spot between inbound and finished product, but separate, traceable stock with their own production stage. Every assembly can be located and planned independently, even before it is finished.

Kanban supply

Automatic replenishment to the production zone as soon as stock falls below the minimum.

When stock in a production zone drops below the configured minimum, Waretracks creates the replenishment automatically, without manual requests at the line. Supply runs in the background during production and can be set individually per zone.

Staging & consumption

Components are staged specifically to the production zone, consumption is deducted from stock automatically.

Components are staged specifically to each production zone, not just handed over from the warehouse in bulk. Consumption is deducted from stock automatically as it happens in production, so system stock always matches actual consumption.

Production zones

Every production stage as its own zone with its own stock, controllable independently of the rest of the warehouse logic.

Every production stage can be mapped as its own zone with its own stock, controllable independently of the rest of the warehouse logic. Zones can be adapted freely to your actual production process instead of forcing a predefined structure.

Stock accuracy

Real-time physical stock by location, including raw materials, assemblies and finished products.

Every stock movement is recorded the moment it happens, whether raw material, assembly or finished product. This structurally reduces inventory differences and creates a reliable basis for costing and production planning.

Route-optimized picking

Pick routes take warehouse layout and weight groups into account, not the experience of individual workers.

The route through the warehouse is recalculated for every pick order, based on warehouse layout, weight groups and article placement. New workers pick as efficiently as experienced colleagues from day one, whether for shipping or for production.

Returns management

Receipt, quality check, putaway and ERP credit note in one continuous process.

Every return follows the same structured flow, from receipt and quality check to the credit note in the ERP, instead of a chain of separate manual steps. Decision rules can be configured to your own requirements.

Batches & best-before dates

Batch and best-before date management where needed, not mandatory for every article. Automatic FIFO/FEFO at outbound, including raw materials and finished products.

You decide per article where batch or best-before tracking makes sense, for raw materials as well as the finished product. At outbound, FIFO or FEFO applies automatically depending on configuration. This reduces spoilage, complaints and manual checks across the entire production chain.

Cross-docking

Goods go straight from inbound to outbound without putaway. Planned via the ERP or detected by the system on the fly.

When goods can be passed straight from inbound to outbound, putaway is skipped entirely. This reduces stock movements, space requirements and lead time. Cross-docking is either planned via an ERP instruction or detected by the system when stock and an open order match.

Three perspectives. One system that fits everyone.

Entrepreneurship in the warehouse takes more than one feature per role. It takes a system that gives management, warehouse managers and IT the same answer: control, without depending on anyone's experience, on staff or on external service providers.

DEVELOPED WITH REAL WAREHOUSES

From real warehouses, for manufacturing companies.

Our experience from more than 66 years in logistics also benefits manufacturing.

In real warehouses, we've seen production bypass the system: shouted instructions, notes on paper, knowledge in individual workers' heads. So we built a production module that changes exactly that: bills of materials, assemblies and Kanban supply right in the system, with the same practical focus Waretracks brings to every warehouse.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

The questions we get before every implementation. And our honest answers.
How does the switchover work without stopping operations?
Ein einfaches, schwarzes Pluszeichen auf weißem Hintergrund.Screenshot of Google Maps showing a route from Zanzibar to Arusha in Tanzania with a 35-minute flight indicated and the map highlighting Tanzania and part of Kenya and Uganda.
Before go-live, we test every relevant scenario several times under real conditions in a separate test system, essentially a digital twin of your warehouses and production zones. Only when everyone involved gives the go do we switch over, without interrupting ongoing production.
How are our workers trained on Waretracks?

Training uses real use cases from your warehouse, not generic examples. New workers are usually ready after about 30 minutes, because the interface is self-explanatory and guides them step by step during operations instead of requiring a complete manual up front.
Does Waretracks work with a multilingual team?
Ein einfaches, schwarzes Pluszeichen auf weißem Hintergrund.Screenshot of Google Maps showing a route from Zanzibar to Arusha in Tanzania with a 35-minute flight indicated and the map highlighting Tanzania and part of Kenya and Uganda.
Yes. The interface is currently available in German and English, with more languages in progress. Because a dozen or more nationalities work together in many warehouses, operation is deliberately designed to be quick to understand regardless of language skills.
